Putin sends Kyoto treaty to parliament for approval

MOSCOW (AFP) - President Vladimir Putin submitted the Kyoto treaty on global warming for approval to the Russian parliament, the Kremlin said.
Putin sent the pact to the State Duma lower house of parliament, the Kremlin press service told AFP, where the main pro-Kremlin party holds a two-thirds majority.
