BERLIN - ''We welcomed the European Commission's positive report for Turkey,'' said German Foreign Minister & Acting Chancellor Joschka Fischer on Wednesday.
''Earlier, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said that if the report will be positive, we will vote in favor of Turkey in December Summit to start full membership talks,'' added Fischer.
Fischer said, ''positive expressions take place in the report. Political risks can be estimated during membership talks.''
''Now we have reached an important stage. We have discussed the issue in the cabinet as well. We follow membership talks process with Turkey with great expectations,'' added Fischer.
