Neve Shalom Synagogue To Be Officially Opened Next Monday

ISTANBUL - The Neve Shalom Synagogue, which was damaged in last year's bomb attacks in Istanbul, would officially be opened on October 11th, Turkish Chief Rabbi's Office and Turkish Jewish Society said on Tuesday.
A statement of Rabbi's Office and the Society said that the synagogue which was hit by bomb attacks on November 15th, 2003, was re-opened to worship on July 29th, 2004.
The statement noted that the Neve Shalom Synagogue would officially be opened on October 11th, adding that senior state officials, representatives of some international Jewish organizations, and members of Turkish Jewish Society would join the inauguration.
Two explosions occurred in front of Neve Shalom Synagogue and Beth Israel Synagogue in Istanbul on November 15th, 2003. 25 people died and 262 people were injured in the attacks which were staged by two pick-up trucks loaded with explosives on two synagogues.
