ANKARA - Turkish police captured four members of a terrorist organization called MLKP/FESK which is proven to be behind more than 100 bomb attacks in Turkey's cities of Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Adana and Eskisehir.
Police also confiscated plenty of equipment used to prepare explosives in an hide-out in Eskisehir.
Sources said on Monday that acting on a tip-off, Ankara Police Department's Anti-Terrorism teams determined that four members of this terrorist organization that was behind a number of bomb attacks in last two years were hiding themselves in Eskisehir.
Sources said police staged an operation two days before and captured those four terrorists including two women.
In their search, police also confiscated a handgun and a plenty of equipment used in preparation of explosives.
Police proved that those terrorists were involved in more than 100 bomb attacks in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Adana, Bursa and Eskisehir, including bomb attacks on the Prime Minister's office, Foreign Ministry, and Justice & Development Party (AK Party) buildings and bombing of the Justice Ministry's Training Center in Altindag, Ankara last year, injuring 17 police officers.
Police also established that this terrorist organization was behind the blast which happened during clean-up of a Turkish Airlines (THY) plane that arrived from Izmir at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport ahead of the NATO Summit.
Sources added that investigation and operations are under way.
