ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will go to Strasbourg on Tuesday as official guest of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
Erdogan will have a meeting with Turkish citizens living in Strasbourg as he arrives in this city tomorrow.
Turkish PM Erdogan will first meet PACE President Peter Schieder, and later have a meeting with COE Secretary General Terry Devis. He will attend the signature ceremony of four separate European conventions to which Turkey will also be a side.
Erdogan will meet Giovanni Di Stasi, the President of its Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, and later make a keynote speech at the PACE 2004 Session.
Erdogan will open a photograph exhibition titled ''Living Together'' which will be organized with the support of Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry, and attend a luncheon hosted in his honor by PACE President Schieder.
After meeting European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) President Luzius Wildhaber, Erdogan will hold a press conference.
Erdogan, who will pay a courtesy visit to Strasbourg Mayor Fabienne Keller, will meet Turks working at the COE, members of Turkey's Permanent Representation to COE, and diplomats at Turkey's Consulate General in Strasbourg.
PM Erdogan will attend reception and dinner to be hosted by PACE Turkish delegation chairman Murat Mercan and Turkey's Permanent Representative to COE Daryal Batibay.
Erdogan is expected to depart from Strasbourg on October 7th following his meetings in COE.
