BRUSSELS - The European Union (EU) Commission`s progress report regarding Turkey would include a ``very clear proposal``, Jean-Christophe Filori, the spokesman of EU Commissioner for enlargement Guenter Verheugen, said on Monday.
Filori told reporters that the report would be approved by the commissioners on Wednesday, and noted that the Commission would make a very clear proposal, and this proposal would be explained in detail.
Asked if an article which was included in the draft and which limited free movement of individuals was in compliance with EU laws, Filori said, ``I have no idea. I am not an expert in this matter.``
Filori stated that the Commission would try to meet earlier than expected on Wednesday in order to complete its deliberations till noon.
Recalling that EU Commission President Romano Prodi and EU Commissioner for enlargement Verheugen would brief members of the European Parliament on the progress report after it was approved, Filori said that a press conference might be held after that briefing.
