New Turkey Party (YTP) leader Ismail Cem will reply with a letter to the proposal of Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal's to unite.
Foundation of surprise unification in the left was laid through a ''joint friend of them''.
CHP leader Deniz Baykal and an accompanying delegation visited Cem on Saturday in YTP Headquarters. Baykal gave a letter to Cem and invited him to join CHP.
TURKISH CAMERAMAN INJURED IN IRAQ DIES
Cameraman of Turkish Red Crescent Mustafa Pekcan, injured in an attack in Mosul on September 20th, lost his life in GATA military hospital on Saturday where he has been receiving treatment.
Pekcan was seriously injured in an attack on Red Crescent convoy. After having an operation in Iraq, Pekcan was brought to Turkey on September 25th.
Since then he was having treatment in GATA.

CEM ACCEPTED DSP REJECTED
Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal on Saturday proposed New Turkey Party (YTP) leader Ismail Cem to join CHP.
Cem, who is expected to visit CHP today, will say ''yes'' to Baykal.
CHP officials brought the same proposal to Democratic Left Party (DSP) but got a negative response.
BANKING LAW TO TAKE PLACE NEXT YEAR
Banking law, which was expected to be send to the Parliament in October, and which was committed to International Monetary Fund (IMF), could only be legalized after formation of the commissions and budget talks.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE GESTURE AGAINST CYPRUS
Ankara included Greek Cypriot side in Customs Union Agreement under the name of ''Cyprus''. In return, Greek Cypriot side did not react against 259 million Euros of financial assistance regulation for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
NEGOTIATION WITH SUSPENSION CONDITION
The European Union (EU) said, ''talks with Turkey can start in 2005, but if Turkey does not meet 7 conditions, talks shall be suspended.'' Here are the 7 key points; religious freedom and minorities having property; situation in Southeast Anatolia and differences between regions; freedom of expression, soldier-civilian relation; economic and structural reforms; implementation problems; human rights.

A NEW CONCESSION TO GREEK CYPRIOTS
Ankara abided by the demand of the European Union (EU) on Customs Union. Although the EU did not keep any of its promises toward Northern Cyprus, and although the conditions which would be asked from Turkey to start full membership negotiations are not definite yet, the government included Southern Cyprus to Customs Union.
RELIGION AND TERRORISM CAN NOT BE IDENTIFIED WITH EACH OTHER
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said it would be wrong to put any religion or nation as target in fight against terrorism.
Erdogan said, ''efforts to identify a religion, civilization or nation with terrorism is a violation of freedom of people.''

EU FROM NOW ON DISCUSSES TURKEY'S ''FULL MEMBERSHIP'' DATE
European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement Guenter Verheugen, who prepared Progress Report, told a German newspaper that, ''for the first time they wrote a report full of criticism''.
Verheugen said according to his estimations full membership of Turkey could take place in 2015 the earliest.
PROBLEM ENDS WITH GREEK CYPRIOTS
Turkey made a step before Progress Report. Cankaya signed the decree paving ways for Customs Union with the Greek Cypriot side.
Foreign Ministry said, ''the amendment of our internal legislation as such does not imply in any way the recognition of the Greek Cypriot administration by Turkey.''

NEW DUTY FROM EU
In the ''new conditions'' part of the EU Commissioner for Enlargement Guenter Verheugen's Progress Report for Turkey, it is stated, ''torture shall be ended, rights shall be given to non-Muslims, religion and belief freedom shall be provided, more dialect courses shall be opened, crime of thought shall be abolished.''

New Turkey Party (YTP) which was formed by those who left Democratic Left Party (DSP) before November 3rd elections is getting prepared to join Republican People's Party (CHP). CHP leader Deniz Baykal, who visited YTP leader Ismail Cem yesterday, got a positive response from Cem.
THEY CREATE PROJECT WITH EQUIPMENT FROM JUNKDEALER
Two Turkish students created 'electromagnetic seismograph' which measures magnitude of earthquake with the equipment they bought from junkdealer. They spent only 100 million Turkish Liras. The project ranked the first in Turkey, second in Europe. Students were invited to Nobel Prize ceremony. Famous firms make proposals to students.
