Baykal Calls YTP To Join CHP

ANKARA - Republican People`s Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal called on Saturday New Turkey Party (YTP) to join CHP.
Baykal, together with CHP Secretary General Onder Sav and some administrators of the party, met YTP leader Ismail Cem at YTP Headquarters.
Baykal and Cem held a joint news conference after the meeting.
Baykal said that he called YTP to join CHP and there is no issue which will prevent such a unity and cooperation.
Cem said in his part that he was honored with the call and added they will assess the call seriously.
Cem will visit CHP Headquarters tomorrow, and YTP party assembly will convene on October 4th and assess the issue.
