ANKARA - Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan will proceed from the United States to Brazil today to hold meetings.
Unakitan and accompanying businessmen will hold meetings at trade chambers in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro between October 4 and 6. They will inform Brazilian participants about Turkish economy and foreign trade policy.
First term meeting of Turkey-Brazil Joint Economic Commission (JEC) will be held in Brasilia on October 7th. Unakitan who will meet Finance and Foreign Ministers of Brazil will also be received by Brazilian President.
During JEC meeting, Turkey and Brazil will discuss commercial problems, establishment of Business Council besides issues like agreement on prevention of double taxation, oil resources, off-shore oil researches, tourism, bio-agriculture and mutual investments.
Unakitan will return to Turkey on October 9th.
