GAZA CITY, Sept 30 (AFP) - A Palestinian man was killed by Israeli troops in the northern Gaza Strip Thursday, bringing the overall toll to 14 Palestinians and three Israelis killed in fierce fighting Thursday.
The identity of the victim was not immediately known.
Medics said the man had been hit by Israeli gunfire in the head in the Jabaliya refugee camp where the army clashed with militants during a large operation aimed to stop rocket attacks on Israel.
The latest death brings to 4,375 the number of people killed since the start of the Palestinian intifada, or uprising, four years ago. They include 3,351 Palestinians and 953 Israelis, according to an AFP count.
