JERUSALEM (AFP) - Two Israeli children were killed when a homemade Palestinian Qassam rocket hit the southern Israeli town of Sderot, a spokeswoman for the Israeli army said.
Initial reports said the makeshift rocket hit a children's playground, the spokeswoman said.
Israel public television said around 20 people were wounded in the strike, which was claimed by the radical Hamas movement in a statement sent to AFP in Gaza City.
