LEFKOSA - U.S. Bearing Point Company is currently in Cyprus to better understand the economic conditions of Turkish Cypriots, officials said on Monday.
A 7-people team from the company aims to alleviate isolation of Turkish Cypriots and to support economic growth in Turkish Cypriot community.
U.S. Embassy issued a written statement and said the delegation was holding talks with various officials to better understand the economic conditions which Turkish Cypriots have to face.
This study is carried out within the scope of additional 30.5 million U.S. dollars foreign aid of the United States toward economic growth in Turkish Cypriot side.
The statement said, ''this additional aid package aims to support economic growth in Turkish Cypriot society, increase current bi-communal programs, and re-unification of the island.''
The statement said studies of the company team will continue around three or four weeks.
