ANKARA - ``Article 184 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) which was re-debated and adopted (Sunday at the Turkish parliament) is like an amnesty. Qualified majority was not asked in voting, so we will bring the article to Constitutional Court,`` Republican People`s Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal said on Sunday.
Baykal chatted with journalists after approval of the TCK in the Parliament.
He said the consensus reached between CHP and Justice and Development Party (AK Party) was disrupted with the submission of two separate motions asking for re-negotiation (of certain articles).
Baykal said Article 184 on illegal constructions, which was approved despite opposition of CHP, is like an amnesty. Baykal said ``to this end qualified majority had to be asked in the voting.``
``Even the Parliament Speaker admitted that the qualified majority had to be asked for the vote. So CHP will apply to Constitutional Court,`` Baykal emphasized.
