TRABZON - Turkey exported 19,260 tons of hazelnuts and earned 126.2 million U.S. dollars in the 3rd week of 2004-2005 hazelnut export season which started on September 1st, 2004.
According to the data released by the Black Sea Hazelnut & Products Exporters` Association, Turkey actually exporting hazelnuts to 80 countries.
Turkey exported 16,342 tons of hazelnuts to the European Union (EU), 1,571 tons of hazelnuts to other European countries, 856 kg of hazelnuts to overseas countries and 491 kg of hazelnuts to other countries.
In the same period of the previous export season, Turkey had exported 14,258 tons of hazelnuts and gained an income of 44.6 million U.S. dollars.
