ANKARA - ``Ten Best Turkish Films`` have been shown in festivals in Europe, sources said on Saturday.
Earlier, Ankara Association of Cinema carried out a public survey to chose the ten best Turkish films.
According to the survey, ``Yol (Road)`` of Serif Goren, ``Susuz Yaz (Dry Summer)`` of Metin Erksan, ``Selvi Boylum, Al Yazmalim (the Girl with the Red Scarf)`` of Atif Yilmaz, ``Suru (the Herd)`` of Zeki Okten, ``Anayurt Oteli (Anayurt Hotel)`` of Omer Kavur, ``Gelin (the Bride)`` of Lutfi Akad, ``Umut (Hope)`` of Yilmaz Guney, ``Muhsin Bey (Mr. Muhsin)`` of Yavuz Turgul, ``Uzak (Distant)`` of Nuri Bilge Ceylan and ``Masumiyet (Innocence)`` of Zeki Demirkubuz were chosen as the ten best Turkish films.
English subtitles of the films were prepared with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Fono Film and the Kodak.
The films were first shown in Karlovy Vary Festival and then in the Film by the Sea Festival in the Netherlands. Kavur was invited to the Netherlands.
Later, the films were shown in Hamburg Film Festival between September 23rd and 30th.
