ANKARA - Turkish Justice Minister Cemil Cicek who attended a conference on ``fight against organized crime and corruption`` in Tirana, met Albanian Justice Minister Fatmir Xhafa on Saturday.
After the meeting, Cicek told reporters that there were very good relations between the two countries, stating that Turkey was always ready to extend support to Albania.
Cicek said that Xhafa and he discussed cooperation in justice area between the two countries in the meeting, noting that experts from both countries would have a meeting to form conditions to sign a protocol in this field in the coming days.
Stating that Turkey was well-experienced in area of justice, Cicek said that they were ready to share this experience. He added that the conference in Tirana was very fruitful.
On the other hand, Xhafa said that they examined several points of cooperation between justice ministries of the two countries in the meeting, stating that they asked for support of Turkey on prison system.
Xhafa noted that Albania needed Turkey`s experience in NATO membership.
Meanwhile, the joint statement released at the end of the conference underlined the commitment of increasing fight against mafia, organized crimes and corruption.
