Algerian Energy & Mining Minister Met Tuzmen

ANKARA - Algerian Energy & Mining Minister Chekib Khalil, who is actually in Ankara to participate to the Turkish-Algerian Joint Economic Commission's (JEC) 8th meeting, met Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen on Wednesday.
Khalil said that there was a big potential in trade between the two countries, noting that they expected trade volume to exceed 2 billion U.S. dollars at the end of this year.
Stating that Turkish companies could also get share from new tenders to be held in Algeria, Khalil said that they were very pleased with the performance of Turkish companies in their country.
On the other hand, Tuzmen said that Algeria was an important market, asking for the support of Algerian minister on the free trade agreement to be signed before the end of this year.
Tuzmen and Khalil also took up energy investments in the meeting.
