Sahin Says There Is Serious Authority Vacuum In Iraq

KIRIKKALE - There has been a serious authority vacuum in Iraq, Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin said on Tuesday.
Replying to questions of reporters about incidents in Iraq, Sahin said, ''unfortunately, those who came to Iraq to bring peace and tranquility have failed.''
Stressing that people who went to Iraq to help Iraqi people had been facing serious problems, Sahin said, ''Turkey is a neighboring country of Iraq. We help people of Iraq about consumer goods from time to time. However, some circles there display inhumane attitudes. Allied forces in Iraq should take up this matter seriously and resolve the public order problem together with the interim administration. We can't intervene in domestic matters of other countries but we cannot also be insensitive to the cross-border matters that concern our country and people.''
