ANKARA (CIHAN) - The Turkish cabinet is to convene today in the Turkish Prime Ministry for a meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Cabinet members will discuss the new Turkish penal code and the relations between Turkey and EU. The cabinet is expected to discuss new stance against European Union following the row between government and European Union over the new penal code.
Cabinet members will discuss recent plans for Turkey's EU membership bid, and the implementation of the EU-inspired reforms.
Cabinet members will also discuss the latest economic indicators and developments.
Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül, who is in USA to attend the UN meeting, will not attend the cabinet meeting.
