BEIJING - Turkish-Chinese Interparliamentary Friendship Group delegation members of Turkish parliament met on Monday Chinese National People's Assembly Deputy Chairman Ismail Emet and Chinese Communist Party Foreign Relations secretary Van Ciarui.
Turkish delegation and Chinese officials discussed what kind of contribution friendship groups could make to the progress of bilateral relations. Turkish delegation members also reiterated their expectations from Chinese side concerning ending of isolation of Turkish Cypriots.
When Chinese side expressed its uneasiness on activities of ''Eastern Turkestan terrorists'', Turkish side said that Turkey always maintained its policy of ''single China'' and respected territorial integrity of China. Turkish delegation members stressed that Turkey was against every kind of terrorism, noting that activities against China would not be allowed on Turkish territory.
The delegation members, Justice & Development Party (AK Party) deputies Salih Kapusuz, Asim Aykan, Erdogan Ozegen and Mustafa Elitas; Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Yakup Kepenek and independent MP Ahmet Ketenci arrived in Beijing on Sunday.
