ANKARA - Turkish Prime Ministry Emergency Management Office said on Monday that 14 people were injured after a bomb exploded under a police car at a pop concert in southern city of Mersin on Sunday.
The office said one of those injured was in serious condition.
The office stated that the bomb exploded at 22.00 local time.
''Two suspicious packages in the concert area were also detonated,'' the office noted.
Meanwhile Mersin Governor Atilla Osmancelebioglu said a large scale operation and investigation were launched into the explosion which occurred during the concert in music festival.
Osmancelebioglu said, ''14 people, two of them police, are injured in the explosion. Two other suspicious packages were also found and detonated.''
Osmancelebioglu said 14 people were actually under medical care.
