ANKARA - Turkey-New Zealand 6th term Joint Economic Commission (JEC) meeting will be held in Wellington between September 21st and 23rd.
Sources said on Sunday that Turkish delegation will be headed by Turkish State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener. New Zealand delegation will be led by Jim Sutton, Agriculture & Trade Negotiations Minister of New Zealand.
Sener will depart from Turkey on Friday to attend the meeting.
Sener will be received by General Governor and Prime Minister and will have bilateral meetings with Sutton besides Economic Development Minister and Education Minister.
Recent developments in multilateral commerce and commercial relations between two countries will be revised during the meeting and also sides will discuss measures which can be taken for further development of bilateral trade.
Sources said that a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed after JEC meeting.
Turkey`s export to New Zealand increased by 26.6 percent and reached to 20.6 million U.S. dollars in 2003. The export amount is envisaged to be more than 30 million dollars by the end of 2004.
