The French international striker opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a highly controversial goal at the Delle Alpi stadium on Sunday.
Atalanta keeper Massimo Taibi recovered after fumbling Gianluca Zambrotta's shot and appeared to get both hands on the ball when Trezeguet dived in with his boot.
The ball squeezed out of Taibi's grasp and into the net and despite Atalanta's protests the goal was given to the Turin giants.
