ANKARA - Turkey sent a part of humanitarian aid to Tal Afar, a Turkmen city in Iraq, on Friday.
Turkish Emergency Department Directorate General stated that Turkish government decided to send aid over the recent incidents in Tal Afar.
The aid is provided by Turkish Emergency Department Directorate General and will be carried to the region by Turkish Red Crescent. The first part of the aid is comprised of foodstuff, tents, blankets and medical equipment. The convoy carrying the aid departed from Ankara yesterday.
The first part of the aid will be distributed to victims in Tal Afar by Turkish Red Crescent and Turkey will continue to send aid to the city, said sources.
