ANKARA - Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister Pal Csaky met Turkey`s Secretary General for the European Union (EU) Murat Sungar on Thursday.
After the meeting, Sungar told reporters that Csaky was visiting Ankara as the guest of Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, stating that he had a meeting with Csaky as he dealt with matters on the EU.
Sungar noted that Csaky and he had a fruitful and comprehensive meeting on Turkey`s EU process.
Stating that Turkey supported Slovakia`s NATO membership and Slovakia welcomed Turkey`s possible accession to the EU, Sungar said that Csaky asked him some questions regarding preparations, Turkey`s expectations, reforms and implementation of laws.
Csaky will meet Gul and attend a luncheon hosted in his honor the same day.
Slovakian minister Csaky will later leave Ankara for Cappadocia region in central city of Nevsehir.
