ANKARA - Turkish Parliament decided that adultery is not a crime. Turkish MPs adopted on Thursday an article of the Turkish penal code (TCK) on which Justice & Development Party (AK Party) claimed to submit a motion to consider adultery as crime. The article was entitled, ''violation of responsibility stemming from family law.''
Making a statement after the vote, Republican People's Party (CHP) Acting Chairman Kemal Anadol said AK Party adopted a politically and morally correct attitude by not submitting the motion to consider adultery as crime.
