ANKARA - Turkish Red Crescent Directorate General will send assistance to North Ossetia, Darfur, some villages in Macedonia and Tal Afar city of Iraq.
Red Crescent Directorate General stated on Tuesday, ''we established communication with Russian Red Cross after the terrorist act in school in Beslan city of North Ossetia and were informed about the required aid equipment. Russian Red Cross noted they can accept every type of assistance.''
Red Crescent will send medicine and health packages to officials of Russian Red Cross.
Meanwhile, former Secretary General of Organization for the Islamic Conference (OIC) asked for urgent humanitarian aid due to armed clashes, mass migration, bad life conditions, starvation and malnutrition in Darfur region of Sudan. Red Crescent will deliver humanitarian aid including food, medicine and tents to the region by a plane which will be provided by Turkish General Staff Headquarters.
Red Crescent also sent hygiene equipment to Turkish-Muslim villages in Macedonia. The equipment was distributed to villages in cooperation with Macedonian Red Cross.
Turkish Red Crescent is also getting prepared for a humanitarian aid which can be demanded from Tal Afar, a Turkmen city, in Iraq.
