DUSHANBE - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is currently in Tajikistan for the 8th Summit meeting of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), was received by Iranian President Mohammad Khatami on Tuesday.
Sources said that Khatami and Erdogan discussed what could be done to make ECO more effective.
They also assessed the point reached by the two countries in talks on natural gas to be pumped from Iran to Turkey, before Khatami's visit to Turkey (between September 28th and 29th).
Erdogan and Khatami also discussed regional matters, including Iraq, it was learned.
