DUSHANBE - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan opened on Tuesday the 8th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) as the Acting President in Tajik capital of Dushanbe.
Making a keynote speech, Erdogan thanked for the perfect organization and warm hospitality of Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov.
Erdogan later nominated Rahmonov as the new Acting President of the 8th ECO summit.
Rahmonov, in his part, said that ECO was a privileged organization, aiming at assuring welfare of the people of member countries, and raise their living standards.
