ISTANBUL - Turkish State Minister Besir Atalay left on Saturday for Tajikistan to attend the 14th Meeting of the Council of Ministers (COM) of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Before he flew to Tajikistan, Atalay told reporters that he would also accompany Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the 8th ECO Heads of State and Government Summit to be held on September 14th.
Atalay said that participants would discuss new projects to be carried out by the ECO during the ministerial council meeting.
''Afghanistan's reconstruction, fight against drugs, increase of role of private sector in ECO, and implementation of ECO Trade Agreement are the prior issues we will discuss during the ministerial meeting,'' Atalay noted.
The participants would also shape up the Dushanbe Declaration, Atalay added.
