PARIS, Sept 10 (AFP) - The European aircraft manufacturer Airbus received its 5,000th order last month, 30 years after its first commercial plane, an A300, entered service with Air France, the company said Friday.
US rival Boeing has received 15,749 orders for commercial craft since its establishment in 1958. Boeing's orders since 1974 total 11,844.
