Gul Instructs For Initiatives Regarding Incidents In Tel Afer

RIGA - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul instructed his staff that initiatives to be launched regarding humanitarian dimension of the grave incidents occurring in Tel Afer, Iraq.
Sources said on Friday that Gul asked Turkish officials to contact American officials in Washington and Ankara regarding the incidents in Telafer.
Upon instructions of Gul, Turkish Ambassador in Washington Faruk Logoglu and Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal asked American officials to show interest in humanitarian dimension of the problem.
