E.U. Delegation Due In Turkey

ANKARA - A new delegation from the European Union (EU) will arrive in Turkey to examine whether Turkey met Copenhagen criteria, prior to Progress Report which will be made public by the EU Commission in October.
The delegation which will be headed by Pierre Lequiller, Chairman of the French National Assembly Delegation to the EU, will visit Istanbul, Ankara and eastern cities of Kars and Elazig, between September 13th and 17th.
The delegation, which will examine the implementations in Turkey regarding Copenhagen criteria , will meet representatives of non-governmental organizations besides its contacts with politicians.
