ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank dropped by 300 million U.S. dollars between August 27th and September 3rd, 2004.
According to the Central Bank's weekly statement, the bank's foreign exchange reserves, which were 33,624 million U.S. dollars on August 27th, dropped to 33,324 million U.S. dollars on September 3rd.
On the other hand, the total of foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations rose by 281 million U.S. dollars, from 17,141 million U.S. dollars to 17,422 million U.S. dollars, between August 13th and 20th.
The international reserves of Turkey, comprising gold and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations, rose by 1,495 million U.S. dollars from 51,330 million to 52,825 million U.S. dollars between August 13th and 20th.
