ANKARA - Turkish police seized 66 kilograms of heroin in capital Ankara, sources said on Thursday.
Sources said that police, acting on a tip-off, followed a lorry on the motorway from Ankara to commercial hub Istanbul, and confiscated 66 kilograms of heroin hidden in the lorry.
The same sources said that the heroin was brought from eastern city of Van.
The driver of the lorry was detained in the operation, the sources added.
