Three Rockets Fired At Afghan Capital

KABUL, Sept 9 (AFP) - Three or more rockets were fired at the Afghan capital Kabul Thursday evening, an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) spokesman said, with witnesses saying at least one person was injured.
"We have preliminary reports that there were three rockets fired. We don't know where. We have sent teams out," ISAF spokesman Lieutenant Commander Ken Mackillop told AFP.
According to another ISAF member, "five rockets were fired, of which one failed to explode."
At least one person was wounded, said resident Abdul Wakeel, who said he saw one rocket fall three metres from his house.
"One woman has been injured in my neighbour's house, she has been taken to the hospital," he said.
The attacks came two days after campaigning began for next month's landmark presidential election in Afghanistan.
