U.S. Helicopter Crashes Near Restive Iraqi City Of Fallujah

BAGHDAD, Sept 8 (AFP) - A US helicopter crashed near the restive city of Fallujah Wednesday and all four crew members were evacuated, the US military said.
"All four personnel aboard a Multi-National Force helicopter that crashed in the Al Anbar Province Wednesday were evacuated from the crash site," the statement said.
"None of the personnel have life-threatening injuries and all are expected to fully recover," it added, without specifying the cause of the crash, which witnesses said occurred around 10:30 pm (1830 GMT).
An AFP correspondent who got close to the site of the crash in the village of Al-Buaisa, southwest of the militant stronghold of Fallujah, saw a large fire raging.
