Economic Program To Be Submitted To E.U.

ANKARA - Turkey is going to submit its economic program for 2005-2007 to the European Union (EU). The program doesn't need to be approved by the EU, sources said.
Economic experts told the A.A correspondent on Tuesday that the program was expected to be submitted between October 1st and November 30th. It will include details of economic and structural reforms for the period 2005-2007, to be carried out by Turkey under Maastricht and Copenhagen criteria.
After the economic program is presented to the EU, Turkish officials will get EU officials' judgements on the program.
Economic experts said that submission of the program to the EU was important, since it would show Turkey's will on economic adjustment to the EU.
The economic program includes policies which will be pursued in macroeconomic and public finance areas and a road map on structural reforms.
