Retaliation To Israeli Killing Of Hamas Fighters Justified: Qorei

RAMALLAH, West Bank, Sept 7 (AFP) - Retaliation by the radical Hamas movement to Israel's killing of 14 of its fighters on Tuesday would be justified, Palestinian prime minister Ahmed Qorei said.
"The ugly crime that was perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood is an escalation of the situation in the area," Qorei told reporters in Ramallah.
"This crime cannot possibly be silenced and will result in justified retaliations."
Hamas has vowed to exact revenge on a scale comparable to its double suicide bombing in the southern city of Beersheva last week, which left 16 Israelis dead.
More than 40 other Palestinians were wounded when Iraeli combat aircraft bombed a playing fields in eastern Gaza in the early hours of Tuesday where members of Hamas' military wing were taking part in a training session.
