ANKARA - Admiral Ozden Ornek, Commander of Turkish Naval Forces, would go to Ukraine to join the activities to mark the 150th anniversary of the Crimean War, his Office said on Monday.
A statement of the Naval Forces Command said that two Turkish frigates and Naval Forces Band would join the activities to begin in Sevastopol on September 9th.
On September 10th, Ornek would inaugurate the Martyrs' Memorial built in Sevastopol to commemorate Turkish soldiers who were killed in the Crimean War, the statement noted.
The statement added that Ornek would also hold a press conference in Sevastopol.
