EDIRNE - Turkish police seized 116.1 kilograms of heroin at the Kapikule border crossing, Edirne Police Chief Ugur Gur said on Monday.
Gur told a press conference that police stopped and searched a bus and a trailer that were about to go abroad, and seized 116.1 kilograms of heroin hidden in both vehicles.
Two Moldavian citizens, and two Turkish passengers were detained in connection with the haul, Gur said.
Efforts are under way to capture a fifth person in connection with illicit drug trafficking.
