ANKARA - Turkish citizen Alana Dogan died in terrorist act in North Ossetia, Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Namik Tan said on Sunday.
When reporters asked about Dogan who was also taken hostage in the school in North Ossetia Republic of Russia, Tan said that they have learned with deep sorrow that Dogan was killed in the terrorist act.
Tan strongly condemned all terrorist acts and also the one in Beslan city of North Ossetia killing and injuring many people.
Tan said that Foreign Ministry and Turkish Embassy in Moscow have closely followed the terrorist act since the beginning with Russian officials and Dogan family. He added that Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul also conveyed deep sorrow and condolences to Dogan family.
Tan said that Turkey shares the pains of Dogan family and relatives of those who were killed in the terrorist act and it again offers condolences and also wishes speed recovery to injured ones.
