Tuzmen: Foreign Trade Volume Will Be More Than $1 Billion By The End Of 2004

ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said, ''Turkey's foreign trade volume with 30 countries will be more than one billion U.S. dollars by the end of 2004.''
Tuzmen told A.A, ''we will make more than 1 billion U.S. dollars of export to 14 countries by the end of this year.''
Noting, ''Turkey's share in world trade is increasing,'' Tuzmen said, ''Turkey is on first ranks among the countries which are increasing their shares from world trade.''
Tuzmen said, ''when we examine export figures of the first 8 months, we will export products worth of more than 1 billion dollars to 14 countries by the end of 2004. Developed countries like Germany, the United States, Britain, Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Russian Federation and Belgium are at the top of these countries. This situation shows the quality of Turkish export products. It is obvious that the future of Turkish exporters, who can export to markets of developed countries that much, is clear. Turkish exporters will be more successful in coming years.''
Noting that Turkey will make export worth of 8-10 billion dollars of products only to Germany in 2004, Tuzmen said that exports to neighboring and surrounding countries and African countries are rapidly increasing.
Tuzmen said that foreign trade volume of Turkey will be nearly 150 billion U.S. dollars in 2004.
