ANKARA - Turkey on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist attack against people, most of them children, in North Ossetia.
Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement and said, ''Turkey, which believes that terrorism can not have a rightful excuse, once again strongly condemned this loathsome terrorist attack against people most of whom are children.''
The statement said, ''we learned that security forces ended hostage-taking crisis which continued since September 1 and where hundreds of people including children were kept hostage in a school in Beslan city in North Ossetia.''
''We are deeply sorry that the terrorist act in question ended killing and injuring many people including children,'' the statement said.
In the statement, Turkey also offered its condolences to relatives of people who died in the terrorist act.
