LONDON-ANKARA - ''Program on structural reforms covering the years 2005 and 2007 will be presented to the European Union (EU) between October 1st and November 30th,'' Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan said on Saturday.
Babacan completed his three-day tour including three countries where he informed international investors about developments in Turkish economy.
Babacan briefed Turkish journalists about his meetings, and said he conveyed investor institutions, rating institutions and finance circles in the Netherlands, Germany and Britain the recent developments in Turkey.
Babacan said his meetings were important to convey the interlocutors about recent developments in Turkey from the first hand, stating that, ''European investors and finance institutions closely follow the strong and positive developments in Turkish economy.''
-NEW ECONOMIC PROGRAM-
Babacan said the government was working on a three-year structural reforms and recalled that this was conveyed during the meetings.
''The reforms will be comprised of strict monetary policies and stock-exchange regimes and will cover three years. Program on structural reforms covering the years 2005 and 2007 will be presented to the European Union (EU) between October 1st and November 30th,'' Babacan said.
Stressing that there would be a new stand-by deal in September, Babacan said implementations of the reforms particularly in tax, social security and banking sector are important in the ensuing 60 days in Turkey's EU process till December.
Babacan underlined that, ''continuity, consistency and confidence are the most important elements in our implementations.''
