NEW YORK, Sept 3 (AFP) - Former US president Bill Clinton was admitted to a New York hospital on Friday to undergo heart surgery, US media said.
Quoting a friend of the 58-year-old Clinton, Fox New television said the ex-president went to a hospital after a heart blockage was found and that he may need heart bypass surgery.
According to the New York Times, Clinton suffered a heart attack.
Clinton was later transferred to the Columbia-Presbyterian hospital, in New York which is known for its cardiology department, media reports said.
