ALANA KEPT HOSTAGE
Among the hostages, who were kept by terrorists in Beslan city of North Ossetia, there is a Turkish family. Anetta Gadiava Dogan, academician in Viladi Caucasia University, and her daughter Milena Dogan were released. However, Anetta Dogan's other daughter Alana is still kept hostage by terrorists.
THREE TURKISH CITIZENS KILLED IN IRAQ
Organization of Jordanian terrorist Al Zarkawi, who planned the bomb attacks in Istanbul, killed three Turkish hostages in Iraq. French AFP news agency stated that Turkish citizens Yahya Kadir and Macit Muhammed were killed.

TURKEY LOST 350 MILLION EUROS TO EU
Turkey could not receive 1 billion Euros of assistance and also it lost 350 million Euros when the European Union (EU) did not approve projects of Turkey under 6th Framework Program which is prepared for strong economy. Turkey will receive only 35 million Euros of assistance as the EU approved 95 of 795 projects.
PUTIN: I'M VERY SORRY FOR POSTPONING MY VISIT
Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Ankara is postponed due to terrorist attack in North Ossetia. Putin phoned Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and told him that he could not come to Turkey. Presidency Press Center stated that Putin told Sezer that he would like to come to Turkey very much, but he could not. However, he said, there were many beneficial contacts between two countries within the preparations for the visit. Putin told Sezer that he would like to come to Turkey as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he was not convinced with the promises of the United States for fight against PKK terrorist organization by non-military ways. He added that patience of Turkey has limits and it cannot watch its people dying.
KERRY TO RECOGNIZE SO-CALLED ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
U.S. democrat President candidate John Kerry said that if he was elected as U.S. President, he would recognize so-called Armenian genocide. Turkish voters are organized to vote for George W. Bush.

TURKISH PEOPLE ALONE IN IRAQ
Al Jazeera TV stated that three Turkish citizens were killed in Iraq. It is not clear that the bodies which were found near Calsia village of Baghdad belong to those killed citizens. Eight Turkish citizens were killed in Iraq until today.
FISCHER: TURKEY CANNOT BE EU MEMBER BEFORE 15 YEARS
German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer said that Turkey cannot be the European Union (EU) member within 10-15 years. He added that however entry talks should start.

FOREIGN MINISTRY CLOSELY FOLLOWS EVENTS IN IRAQ
Foreign Ministry decided to form a joint mission group for all issues regarding Turkish citizens in Iraq and to provide their life security. When three Turkish citizens were killed in Iraq yesterday, Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul met officials to discuss terrorist activities in the world and assaults against Turkish citizens.

German Foreign Minister Joschka Fisher said that Turkey's membership to the European Union (EU) is very important for Europe's being strong. Fischer said that Turkey's EU membership is significant for fight against terrorism and added that Turkey is Europe's cornerstone.
GOVERNORS OF 24 PROVINCES CHANGED
President Ahmet Necdet Sezer approved Governor Decree which was prepared by Interior Ministry and changing offices of governors of 24 provinces. Three governors came to center while Van Governor Hikmet Tan who was the target of terrorists in previous days was transferred to Adiyaman Governor's Office.

Continuous terrorist attacks which happened before Turkey visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin trapped him in Russia.
