ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank dropped by 306 million U.S. dollars between August 20th and 27th, 2004.
According to the Central Bank's weekly statement, the bank's foreign exchange reserves, which were 33,930 million U.S. dollars on August 20th, dropped to 33,624 million U.S. dollars on August 27th.
On the other hand, the total of foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations rose by 1,084 million U.S. dollars, from 16,057 million U.S. dollars to 17,141 million U.S. dollars, between August 6th and 13th.
The international reserves of Turkey, comprising gold and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations, rose by 1,405 million U.S. dollars from 49,925 million to 51,330 million U.S. dollars between August 6th and 13th.
