KIEV - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen opened on Wednesday Turkish Fashion Fair and Leather Fair in Ukraine.
A total of 100 Turkish companies are exhibiting their products in the fairs in Ukraine.
Tuzmen noted that Ukraine was an important market with its 50 million of population.
Turkey's exports of ready-to-wear clothing, textile and leather to this country rose by 65 percent this year as compared to the last year, Tuzmen said.
Stressing that Turkey's exports to East European countries were also rising, he said that exports to those countries increased by 38 percent in the first six months of 2004.
Tuzmen noted that they aimed to make all countries in Black Sea region free trade zones, adding that they wanted to sign a free trade agreement with Ukraine.
