Jordan's royal court confirmed Monday that Queen Rania, wife of King Abdullah II, is expecting another child, with the birth anticipated sometime this winter.

The announcement arrived just ahead of the queen's 34th birthday on 1 September. Born in Kuwait in 1970, she wed Abdullah on 10 June 1993. The couple are already parents to three children: son Hussein, 10, and daughters Iman, 8, and Salma, 4.
